"Dark Danny" is the twenty-seventh episode of Grump's Dream Course on Game Grumps VS.

Game Progress[]

Arin and Danny complete the level they started in the last video, Jimmy Jamboree: Danny finishes the hole with four points over Arin, deepening his lead for the course.

They move on to the next level, Some Random Island by Noserus, which is surrounded by large bodies of water. After getting the hole to spawn, Arin and Danny both get stuck in the water hazards while trying to score the hole. Eventually Arin manages to sink it, narrowing Danny's lead ever so slightly.

Arin and Danny also start on the next level, Rock-Based Level by Shard1697.

Discussions[]

Arin expresses his frustration for when people who work at ice cream shops don't know what "jimmies" are, and how frequently they urinate into his ice cream.

Arin and Danny talk about the word "tart", and wonder if people have ever been tart-shamed. They also speculate what an "evil" version of Danny would be like, and Arin brings up Evil Ryu from the Street Fighter series, complaining that Evil Ryu's darker skin tone somehow makes him more evil.

Arin also notices that one of the levels they played was called Janeane Garofalo's Expedition to Mt. Everest, which was one of his favorite bits from the Sonic Boom playthrough. Danny suggests playing one of the newer Sonic games, but Arin tells him that they shouldn't play Sonic Mania on the show, since people get upset when Arin complains about classic Sonic games. Arin then launches into a tirade about how people get upset when people rag on things that are nostalgic to them, and the mentality that it invalidates their own feelings. He also talks about how it applies to remakes of old properties, like Jumanji and Ghostbusters, and how the remakes do not invalidate or overwrite the originals.

Trivia[]

  • This episode was originally named "Chimp Watching", but the title was changed at some point.
