History[]

Game Grump Title-card for Dan

During a busy week for Arin and Danny, which included touring for Game Grumps Live shows and Ninja Sex Party and Starbomb concerts, Danny woke up sick the morning his and Arin's Game Grumps recording was scheduled. In order to preserve Danny's voice for his performances, Arin recorded by himself.

Arin commented that he had always wanted to try a solo let's play, in the style of several of his friends and fellow YouTubers, such as Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and PewDiePie.

Due to good reception to Arin's solo series, Danny recorded a solo let's play as well.

Format[]

The format of the show is identical to that of Game Grumps, the only difference being that one Grump is absent and the other plays and commentates by himself.

Theme lyrics[]

Just Arin[]

Arin: Hey I'm Grump!

(awkward pause, sometimes with coughing)

Arin: And I'm the Game Grump!

Trivia[]

  • Game Grump is the only series on the Game Grumps channel to feature only one host doing a solo let's play. However, Suzy has done solo let's plays on KittyKatGaming.
  • Dan's version of the solo opening was originally made for their ad promoting the new Game Grumps merch store.
  • Arin's 2022 series of let's plays also included guests such as his wife, Suzy, and Matt Mercer of Critical Role who was originally going to appear in a 10 Minute Power Hour episode. Mercer later appeared in Dan's solo let's plays in the same year.
