Scare to CareEdit
|Scare to Care|
Scare to Care is an annual 48-hour live streaming event organised by Vernon, Jared and Erin from Hot Pepper Gaming and hosted by Polaris that features gamers playing horror games in order to raise money for the charity Camp Kesem.
Games Played by the GrumpsEdit
- Jared from HPG has appeared alongside Danny and Brian on an episode of FriendZone.
- Scare to Care 2014 totalled $33,000 in donations over the weekend, $6,472 of which was raised during the Game Grumps' playtime, crashing the donation site several times. The Grumps offered various incentives, including the chance to win a signed Starbomb CD for all donations of $5 or more, a personalised drawing by Arin for those who donated $500, and Jared's mother's boyfriend's Atari 1200 to the highest donor. At the end of their stream segment, Arin, Danny and Ross mooned the camera following two last-minute donations of $200 and $400, respectively. Suzy also offered to eat a hot pepper if a viewer were to donate $1000, but it didn't happen before they ran out of time.
- In the Super Mario 3D World episode "What a Ruckus!", Danny and Arin talk about their contribution to the Scare to Care stream, though they can't recall which charity it was supporting. Arin jokes about Vernon being their new editor, and thus being able to add the information to the video later. Many people on the Subreddit took this literally.
