Love Train is a Valentine's Day spin-off of Steam Train starring Ross and his wife, Holly. Conceptually, the series is similar to Single Train, another Valentine's Day spin-off of Steam Train.

Trivia
- The series' theme and intro sequence is modeled after the Season 1 Steam Train intro, rather than the then-current one from Season 2.
- This marks the first time someone outside the five grumps has appeared on Steam Train or a variation thereof.
- This also marks the first time Holly has been on Steam Train, albeit part of a spinoff series.
