The Nintendo 3DS is a portable video game console and the direct successor to the Nintendo DS.

History Edit

The 3DS was released in Japan on February 26th, 2011, and worldwide in March of 2011. A later model, known as the 3DS XL was released in Japan and Europe on July 28th, 2012, and later in August to North America and Australia.

An alternate model of the 3DS, known as the 2DS, saw release worldwide on October 12th, 2013.

Upgraded versions of the system, the New 3DS and New 3DS XL, saw release in Japan on October 11th, 2014, Australia on November 21st, 2014, and in Europe and North America on February 13th, 2015.

An upgrade of the 2DS, called the New 2DS XL, was released on June 15, 2017.

On Game Grumps Edit

The Game Grumps have currently played only four games on 3DS: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, as part of Game Grumps Present: Hunting Monsters, Pokémon Art Academy and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on Grumpcade, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds on Game Grumps.

Recently, the Game Grumps channel has started to feature games from the original DS, though still recorded on the 3DS, such as Drawn To Life.
